January Contest Winner: Ryan’s 2007 Chevy Colorado No-Start Fix

Our monthly contest winner for January is Ryan Cogle and his 2007 Chevy Colorado. Ryan was dealing with the classic random “No Start” problem — the kind that leaves you stranded just when you think it’s finally sorted itself out. If you’re reading this, you probably know that headache all too well. Ryan took control of the situation and ordered the USA PRO Module. Here’s his story.

Living With the Random No-Start

“I purchased the Newrockies PRO Module for a 07 Chevy Colorado. I was very nervous about the install so I just put up with the random ‘no starts’ till the end of January, then I had enough, so I tackled the install.”

An Easy Install With One Small Hiccup

“It was very easy! Even the programing of the vehicle went well. A few days after the install I found that when I turned on the bright lights I couldn’t get them to turn back to dim. So I contacted Newrockies support and was shocked to get an answer on a weekend. I was told by Jack that the problem sounded like a wrong wire splice and to send pictures of them. It was difficult to get a picture of the splice with the pin so I carefully rechecked the pin/wires and found my mistake, I connected one to the wrong wire. It was a super easy fix and now all works great.”

Fixed for Good

“I would not wait to install in another vehicle and I tell everyone I know how great this works, and about the awesome support from them if needed. Don’t put up with any more ‘no starts,’ fix it once and for all with Newrockies — it works!! Thanks again for the awesome product and restoring confidence in my truck!!”
