June Contest Winner: Noreen’s 2006 Chevy Colorado No-Start Fix
Our monthly contest winner for June is Noreen McTague from Florida. She had been dealing with the SECURITY system for years, and finally had to do something about it with her daughter soon taking the truck to college. It’s a familiar story — leaving the truck running while filling it with gas, just to be sure it would start again. It’s nice to be able to rely on your vehicle again. A Random No-Start, Right Before College
“Our 2006 Chevrolet Colorado truck had start-up issues for a few years. We kept ignoring it, and then I got fed up and did some research. It didn’t matter if the engine was cold or warm — it was so random. Yet the truck would start after waiting 10 to 15 minutes (sounds familiar, I know). My daughter was taking the truck to college as her vehicle. Obviously, a young girl with a vehicle that would not start randomly was not a good thing. My husband had also read that eventually the vehicle would just not start no matter what.”
“So, I ordered the PRO Module and on November 1, 2014, I had my nephew install it for me. I am so happy with the NEWROCKIES PRO Module. I no longer have to leave it running while putting gas in the truck (something I used to do). I no longer worry about the truck not starting for my daughter.
