Yes. While the security light on tells you for certain that your problem is in the security system, sometimes it can remain off even with a faulty security system as it is driven by the security system itself.
Absolutely yes. There are 2 main types of factory immobilizers installed on GM cars: Passkey and Passlock. The first one has the chip in the metal part of the key, while the Passlock has the same system but inside the lock cylinder and there is no chip in the key itself. Both systems work in a very similar manner and, if your car is listed on our website, the PRO Module will definitely work on it and bypass the system.
The Pro Module is specifically designed to bypass a failing or failed anti-theft system. The system is bypassed completely on most cars, or as further down as possible in all others. The vehicles don’t need to be running and our Pro Module will bypass the system even if it is completely dead and the car is not starting. Other bypass units are designed to bypass the key portion ONLY, and ONLY for use with starting the car with remote starter systems. On these type units,
No, we bypass much further down stream and will not change the normal physical operations of the vehicle.
Usually between 1 and 4 hours. Every model vehicle will have a slightly different installation due to the differences in the vehicle itself and the type of anti-theft security system installed in the vehicle by GM. Only basic tools will be needed. Small sockets, wire strippers, screwdrivers etc. Instructions can be found near the list of supported vehicles, and in the footer of every page.
No, that is one of the beauties of the Pro Module. It is specifically designed to work even on dead or dying vehicles.
The NEWROCKIES Pro Module has been designed to solve the problems of the security systems permanently. It has been designed and engineered to withstand harsh temperatures and elements. We use top quality and military grade components rated for operation at -45 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit and with a typical lifespan of more than 30 years.
Only basic tools are required, those that are typically found in everybody’s home.
