A Unique Method To Save Your Car!
All GM Security Systems are extremely simple. Whatever is their name, VATS, PassKey or PassLock, they only have 3 components:
- The Key and Lock Cylinder component (350$).
- The Theft Deterrent Module or TDM (aka the Brain of the system – 700$)
- The wiring between #1 and #2
Those are the only 3 possible things that can be faulty and all 3 of them are very expensive and have a lifespan not much longer than 7 years. And when any of them is faulty, the car won’t start or the engine will do start but die in 1 second.
Now, all those GM security systems work on this one simple principle:
The Key+Lock component(#1) sends an input signal to the core(#2) through the wiring(#3). When the core receives the RIGHT input signal, it will send out an output signal that will enable the injectors and the starter motor. Easy.
Other Systems Only PARTIALLY Bypass GM Security
The Resistor trick and the other so-called Bypass Kits are focused on reproducing the input signal to mislead the TDM (the brain of GM anti-theft systems) in thinking the right key is in the lock cylinder.
This is obviously the wrong approach in our case because it doesn’t bypass the TDM itself, but instead still fully relies on it to produce the output signal to enable injectors and starter motor. That’s why those bypass don’t work for us. They were born just to add remote starters.
It’s on the output signal that we should focus on instead. See it now?
Even GM, for some obscure reasons, kept focusing on that same input signal forever, but fortunately for us, they completely forgot about the output signal. So through many years, models and types of security systems, that output signal always remained the same.
…And if we reproduce the output signal and we send it out, it will enable the injectors without any need of VATS, PassKey, or PassLock, or whatever. Cool? This is exactly what the Full Bypass does.
This Unique System FULLY Bypasses GM Security.
We have just seen that other bypass systems work by providing the input signal to the brain of the security system (the TDM) – and that’s a big mistake because the TDM still remains in the loop and it’s the weakest (and most expensive) part of the system.
The Full Bypass instead takes care of a very simple task: reproducing the output signal that will be used directly by the PCM (aka the car’s computer) to enable the injectors. – and then you can remove the entire VATS PassKey security system from your car.
This concept will look quite obvious to you now, but just imagine what happens to a person that doesn’t know this. He/She will buy a kit called VATS Bypass, install it and the car still won’t start. Then he’ll be sure he already bypassed VATS – which he actually didn’t – so he will think the problem is somewhere else and start a long parts swapping game that will only end up with his pockets empty and his car in the junkyard.
That’s what was happening to me, but fortunately for some reasons my gut feelings kept pointing me to the security system, even if I thought I already bypassed it. And so I invented and developed this VATS Passkey Full Bypass system.
